Fallout 76 is gearing up for its next major content drop, and Bethesda is leaning hard into classic horror tropes for the ride. According to an official overview trailer from IGN South Africa, creative director Jon Rush and senior community manager Richard Stanford recently walked through the upcoming additions, highlighting both The Slasher update and Season 26, which is titled Beware the Blood Moon.
Launching on September 15, 2026, the new update invites players to track down the culprit behind a fresh wave of grisly crimes across Appalachia. The narrative arc points directly toward the return of the infamous Pint Sized Slasher, sending squads of players on a cross map scavenger hunt that promises plenty of grave digging and detective work alongside the standard wasteland chaos.
Alongside the murder mystery, Season 26 brings the familiar seasonal grind back to the forefront. Players can look forward to racking up S.C.O.R.E. and earning tickets to exchange for a fresh rotation of limited time rewards through the game progression system. Whether you are playing for the narrative immersion or just want to clear out the latest seasonal reward tracks with your regular squad, the mid September update keeps the live service engine running strong.
