Fenris Creations has launched the Operation Avalon alpha playtest for EVE Vanguard on PC via Steam, running through July 20.
Fenris Creations is giving players a fresh look at the sci-fi universe of New Eden with the debut of the Operation Avalon alpha playtest for EVE Vanguard. The new trailer highlights the core gameplay loop of the first-person extraction shooter, where squads deploy into hostile territory, take on Mordu's Legion forces, and fight to extract with valuable loot.
Extraction shooters continue to dominate the multiplayer landscape, and this latest playtest gives the community a direct hand in shaping how the spin-off integrates with the broader EVE ecosystem. Developer communication and early feedback cycles are everything for a genre built on high stakes and tight balancing, making active alpha phases a crucial proving ground before any official launch.
The Operation Avalon alpha playtest is live now and runs through July 20 on PC via Steam. If you want to check out the current build and see how the gunplay and extraction mechanics feel in action, you can watch the official trailer over on IGN South Africa.
