The Epic Games Store holiday giveaway continues to roll out daily surprises for players looking to pad their PC libraries without spending a dime. As part of the ongoing seasonal event, the storefront has officially revealed that the open-world detective adventure Paradise Killer is the free game for December 22. Originally reported by Game Rant, the title is available to claim right now and will remain free to add to accounts until December 23 at 8:00 AM PT, replacing the previous day's offering.
Developed by Kaizen Game Works and published by Fellow Traveller, Paradise Killer carries a strong 81 critic score and brings a distinct style to the table. Players step into the shoes of Lady Love Dies, an investigator summoned from exile to solve a locked-room murder mystery on a bizarre island resort. The game offers total freedom in how players approach the investigation, letting them gather evidence, accuse suspects, and build their own cases at their own pace. Its striking vaporwave aesthetic and memorable soundtrack make it a standout title for anyone who appreciates unique narrative experiences.
For PC players, checking the Epic Games Store daily has become a staple of the December gaming calendar. While the platform has occasionally featured massive blockbusters during its holiday promotions, the inclusion of critically acclaimed indie titles like Paradise Killer gives players a chance to experience standout games they might have missed at launch. If you want to lock this one into your digital library permanently, you have a strict 24-hour window before the storefront rotates to its next holiday mystery game.
