Eminem and Slim Shady Arrive in Hitman World of Assassination for New Elusive Target

Eminem is heading to Hitman World of Assassination as the star of a new Elusive Target mission, teaming up with Agent 47 to take down his alter ego Slim Shady in a redesigned Hokkaido asylum.

IO Interactive is keeping the live service momentum rolling with a surprising new collaboration for Hitman World of Assassination. Revealed during the Xbox Partner Preview, legendary rapper Eminem is stepping into the game as the star of the next Elusive Target mission. Players will drop into a heavily reworked version of the Hokkaido medical facility, which has been transformed into the chaotic Popsomp Hills Asylum. In this free update, Agent 47 teams up with Eminem to stop his chaotic alter ego, Slim Shady, who is using erratic live performances and weaponised music to brainwash listeners.

This crossover follows a string of high profile guest appearances in the stealth sandbox, including Jean Claude Van Damme and Le Chiffre. Alongside the free mission launching on December 1st across all platforms, IO Interactive is dropping a paid Eminem vs Slim Shady cosmetic pack priced at 3.99, available through the month of December. It is another creative way to keep a seasoned single player game fresh for the streaming and creator community, offering plenty of bizarre sandbox moments for players to share online.

As reported by Eurogamer, the update arrives at a time of transition for IO Interactive, following recent studio restructuring and the ongoing development of their upcoming James Bond project. For longtime Hitman fans, however, the continued support and willingness to lean into pop culture absurdity proves that World of Assassination remains one of the most flexible and entertaining playgrounds in modern gaming.
