Elden Ring: Nightreign's Boss Rush is Back! Time to Git Gud (Again)

FromSoftware's rotating the Everdark Sovereign bosses back into *Elden Ring: Nightreign*, giving players another shot at these ultra-tough encounters before even *more* variants arrive to ruin your day. Get ready to die... again!

Alright, Tarnished, listen up! Remember those Everdark Sovereign bosses in *Elden Ring: Nightreign* that were making you question your life choices just a few weeks ago? Well, according to Eurogamer, they're back for another round of digital punishment. Seems FromSoftware is keen on reminding us that victory is fleeting and death is eternal.

For those who missed out the first time (or, like me, were too busy repeatedly faceplanting against the Gaping Jaw), these Sovereigns are souped-up, extra-challenging versions of existing Nightlord bosses. Eurogamer reported last month that the initial lineup consisted of the Gaping Jaw, Sentient Pest, and Darkdrift Knight. And now, these three baddies are rotating again in pairs, giving you another chance to earn bragging rights (and probably a few more grey hairs).

The schedule, according to FromSoftware's social media, looks like this:

* **July 10th - 17th:** Gaping Jaw and Darkdrift Knight * **July 17th - 24th:** Sentient Pest and Darkdrift Knight * **July 24th - 31st:** Gaping Jaw and Sentient Pest

Now, before you start sharpening your swords and polishing your shields, a word of caution: you won't be fighting *both* bosses at the same time in some sort of unholy tag team. Instead, *both* bosses will be available for you to find in the Everdark. So, basically, double the terror, half the sanity. Fair enough.

But what does this all mean? Well, FromSoftware is clearly committed to keeping *Nightreign* alive and kicking with these regular updates, which is nice. They even teased more Sovereign bosses coming down the line: Tricephalos, Augur, Equilibrious Beast, and Fissure in the Fog. Sounds like a party, doesn't it?

Of course, some of you might be thinking, "Where's that two-player mode they promised?" Or perhaps you're more interested in that rumored DLC. Patience, my friends, patience. Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither was a perfectly balanced, soul-crushing multiplayer experience. I reckon it's only a matter of time before FromSoftware gives us what we want, and I hope to blazes it's worth the wait.

In the meantime, get back out there and farm those tokens, because you know the *real* pain is just around the corner.
