FromSoftware announced The Forsaken Hollows expansion for Elden Ring Nightreign, launching on December 4 with new characters, bosses, and a new zone.
FromSoftware and Bandai Namco surprised the community during Tuesday's State of Play broadcast by revealing the very first expansion for Elden Ring Nightreign. Titled The Forsaken Hollows, the DLC arrives on December 4, bringing fresh content to the cooperative survival game much sooner than many expected. As reported by Polygon, the update expands the playable roster to ten characters by introducing two new Nightfarers. The Scholar brings high arcane stats and tactical advantages through battlefield observation, while the Undertaker relies on strength and faith to dispatch enemies with ruthless efficiency.
The expansion also introduces substantial world updates and formidable new adversaries to challenge veteran players. A new Shifting Earth event opens access to The Great Hollow, an underground area featuring ancient ruins, sacred towers, and crystals that emit a life-draining miasma across Limveld. Beyond the new region, the reveal trailer confirmed the arrival of at least two new Nightlords alongside some iconic returning faces. Players will face off against the Divine Beast Dancing Lion, Bayle the Dread, and even the legendary Artorias the Abysswalker from the Dark Souls series.
The Forsaken Hollows launches next month across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. The content will be accessible to players who own the Deluxe Edition or Collectors Edition of Nightreign, as well as those who purchase the separate Deluxe Upgrade Pack.
