El Paso, Elsewhere 2 Headed Our Way With More Bullet Time and Supernatural Chaos

Strange Scaffold has announced El Paso, Elsewhere 2, bringing back protagonist James Savage for a supernatural neo-noir road trip filled with bullet time, new vampire abilities, and a 2027 release window.

Strange Scaffold is returning to its cult classic supernatural neo-noir shooter with the newly announced El Paso, Elsewhere 2, revealed during the recent PC Gaming Show. The original game carved out a distinct space for itself as a stylish third-person action title heavily inspired by classic bullet time mechanics, pitting players against a horde of monsters led by a vampire ex-girlfriend. As reported by Rock Paper Shotgun, this sequel trades the original game's single motel setting for a sprawling cross country road trip through the Void, multi-dimensional libraries, and eerie suburban landscapes.

Players will once again step into the trench coat of James Savage, navigating a gritty narrative where he must rescue the very friend who betrayed him in order to survive an eldritch debt. The sequel also expands on combat by layering in new vampire abilities that let players perform mid-air dives, backflips off enemies, and blood-slurping healing mechanics when staking foes. Alongside a diverse arsenal of firearms, players can even look forward to a showdown with Frankenstein, continuing the studio's signature blend of high concept horror and slick action.

Studio head Xalavier Nelson Jr. noted that the first game nearly caused the studio to close its doors, making the greenlight of a full sequel a major milestone for the indie developer. Between this upcoming release and the previously announced film adaptation, the supernatural neo-noir franchise is expanding rapidly. Fans can expect El Paso, Elsewhere 2 to launch in 2027, giving players plenty of time to revisit the dark halls of the original motel before diving back into the void.
