Epic Games has revealed key art for Fortnite's upcoming Showdown season, confirming the return of Dwayne Johnson's The Foundation and the arrival of Bugs Bunny in the battle pass.
Epic Games has officially pulled back the curtain on the key art for the next season of Fortnite, titled Showdown, and the lineup is predictably massive. According to IGN South Africa, the update launching later this week brings back Dwayne Johnson as The Foundation, a return that long-time lore enthusiasts have been anticipating for years. The visual also confirms that Bugs Bunny will lead a wave of Looney Tunes characters making their debut on the island. Based on the promotional imagery, players can expect Bugs to headline the upcoming battle pass, while community leakers suggest that other favorites like Daffy Duck and Lola Bunny will arrive in the item shop shortly after launch.
This crossover follows a pattern of high-profile collaborations, arriving hot on the heels of reports that Sonic the Hedgehog is also speeding into the game with dedicated Green Hill Zone mechanics. Fortnite continues to operate as the ultimate interactive pop culture melting pot, blending Hollywood star power, classic animation icons, and gaming heritage into a single shared ecosystem. For a game that serves as a primary digital hangout for millions of players across console, PC, and mobile, these crossovers are the engine that keeps the social momentum rolling month after month.
From a player perspective, the return of major story characters like The Foundation gives the community fresh lore to dissect across YouTube and TikTok, while the battle pass inclusion of recognizable icons keeps the grind engaging. As digital ownership and seasonal content models continue to dominate modern multiplayer gaming, Epic remains unmatched in its ability to turn a routine content drop into a massive cultural event. Showdown goes live later this week, and it is shaping up to be one of the most visible updates of the year. Source: IGN South Africa
