Pokémon Pokopia's new Fetch Scales for Feebas event runs through August 28, offering players exclusive beach-themed items, new habitats for Milotic, and a straightforward scale-farming loop via Dream Islands.
Pokémon Pokopia is embracing the seasonal beach atmosphere with its latest limited time update. Running until August 28, the Fetch Scales for Feebas event invites players to help the iconic fish Pokémon recover its lost Prism Scales across a series of sun-drenched Dream Islands. To jump into the action, you just need to ensure you have rebuilt at least one Pokémon Center in your world, which triggers an introductory quest when you boot up the game. From there, you can enlist Drifloon to visit Dream Islands and start collecting scales to trade in for exclusive seasonal gear.
Gathering the necessary currency is surprisingly straightforward if you know where to look. A single successful trip to a Dream Island can yield over 70 Prism Scales, which is more than enough to clear out the event shop if you play your cards right. The update introduces six distinct items ranging from a beach volleyball set and a big swim ring to a sand bed and a cooler, costing a total of 60 scales for the complete set. If you are strapped for time, you can safely skip the floating lantern, as it is not required to craft the two brand new event habitats needed to welcome Milotic to your island.
For players who happen to miss the event window or fall short on scales, there is no need to worry about permanent FOMO. Developer Koei Tecmo and Game Freak have built in a safety net that lets you acquire copies of the event furnishings later using the in-game 3D printer.
