Dispatch Headed to Switch and Switch 2 With Censored Content

AdHoc Studio's Dispatch is coming to Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 with mandatory content censorship, removing the adult content toggle found on PC and PS5 versions.

As reported by IGN South Africa in their recent Daily Fix, AdHoc Studio is bringing Dispatch to Nintendo platforms, but the release comes with a notable caveat. While players on PC via Steam and PlayStation 5 can enjoy the title with an optional toggle for adult content, the Nintendo Switch and upcoming Switch 2 iterations enforce mandatory censorship. Certain nudity and sexual scenes have been altered or removed entirely without giving users the choice to restore them.

Developer AdHoc Studio maintains that the core narrative and overall player experience remain intact despite the platform changes. Even so, the lack of a toggle is bound to spark conversations in community spaces, especially among cross-platform players who prefer having control over their game settings and digital libraries. For a generation of gamers used to unified experiences across hardware, platform-specific content alterations remain a persistent friction point.

Beyond the Dispatch news, the Daily Fix also touched on Capcom acknowledging the undeniable fan appeal of Resident Evil protagonist Leon S. Kennedy, with female developers ensuring his latest appearance delivers maximum impact for fans. PlayStation also pulled back the curtain on February's upcoming PlayStation Plus lineup, giving subscribers fresh titles to add to their backlogs as the new month approaches.
