Disney Lorcana Is Finally Making the Leap to Desktop and Mobile

Ravensburger announced a dedicated digital client for Disney Lorcana coming to desktop and mobile, bringing the entire card catalog to digital screens. Fans can currently sign up for early playtest notifications as the physical game continues its rapid expansion.

Disney Lorcana is officially making the jump to screens everywhere. During the recent D23 fan event, Ravensburger announced that the massively popular trading card game is getting a dedicated digital client for both desktop and mobile platforms. The upcoming application will feature every single card released in the physical game so far, meaning players can test out legacy strategies and current meta decks alike without needing a physical table or local game store nearby. Fans eager to get in early can already sign up for notifications regarding the initial playtest phases.

This digital expansion arrives alongside a busy roadmap for the physical card game. Lorcana recently celebrated its third anniversary, having grown into one of the fastest expanding trading card games on the market with thirteen full sets under its belt. Recent expansions have brought in heavy hitters from Pixar properties like Toy Story, Monsters Inc, and Turning Red, with a Coco themed set on the horizon later this year. Ravensburger also used the D23 showcase to tease collector boosters featuring a brand new Illustrious rarity tier, starting with a striking Maleficent card.

For a game that relies heavily on local community play and collecting physical foils, moving to a cross-platform digital client is a massive quality of life upgrade. It lowers the barrier to entry for players who want quick matches on their phones or deep deckbuilding sessions on their PCs. While an official launch date has not been locked in yet, bringing Lorcana to digital ecosystems ensures the TCG can capture the always online audience that treats digital card games as a daily social habit.
