Gameloft announced a new Disney Dreamlight Valley expansion called The Keepsake Sea during the D23 convention, confirming that Captain Jack Sparrow will join the game.
Gameloft has officially lifted the curtain on the next major chapter for Disney Dreamlight Valley, and it is bringing a heavy dose of high-seas adventure to the cozy life sim. Revealed during the recent D23 convention in Anaheim, the upcoming expansion is titled The Keepsake Sea. This new seafaring update follows up on teasers first dropped earlier this summer, giving players a clear look at the next big content drop heading to their favorite platforms.
The headline addition for this expansion is none other than Captain Jack Sparrow, who will be joining the village character roster. Bringing the iconic Pirates of the Caribbean franchise into the valley fits right into the game's ongoing mix of nostalgia and community-driven content updates. For players who treat the valley as their primary digital hangout space, adding a chaotic pirate captain to the neighborhood opens up plenty of fun new aesthetic and storytelling possibilities.
As live service games continue to lean into steady seasonal roadmaps to keep their player bases engaged, Gameloft is clearly doubling down on what works for this community. The Keepsake Sea promises to deliver fresh exploration alongside the character additions. It gives both returning players and daily log-ins another strong reason to dive back in and deck out their digital worlds.
