The latest trailer for Star Wars: Maul - Shadow Lord offers a fresh narrative spin on one of the galaxy's most dangerous figures. Instead of hunting down Jedi, Darth Maul is setting his sights on the Empire. Even more surprising is his new partner in crime, as the trailer reveals a Jedi working side by side with the former Sith apprentice to take down a common enemy.
Originally spotted via IGN South Africa, the footage sets up high stakes and plenty of dramatic tension for fans who appreciate seeing the grey areas of the Star Wars universe explored. Maul has always operated on the fringes, but this alliance pushes his character into completely uncharted territory.
Star Wars: Maul - Shadow Lord is officially scheduled to premiere on April 6. As we get closer to the launch date, expect the streaming community and lore channels to break down every frame of this trailer for hints about how this unlikely partnership holds together.
