Dark Craft Brings Soulslike Combat and Minecraft Aesthetics to the MMO Space

Dark Craft is an upcoming free-to-play Steam MMO that blends Elden Ring style soulslike combat with Minecraft visuals and live game master events.
Developer Take Top Entertainment is making a massive leap in ambition with its upcoming Steam release, Dark Craft. Known previously for mobile titles, the studio is tackling what it calls the first MMORPG in the soulslike genre. The game combines the brutal, stamina-driven combat and gothic atmosphere of Elden Ring with a distinctively blocky, sandbox-inspired visual style reminiscent of Minecraft.
As a free-to-play MMO, Dark Craft places players in a sprawling, dangerous open world where threats come from both ruthless NPC monsters and other online players. Beyond standard multiplayer elements, the game introduces active game masters who can directly intervene in sessions. These staff members can orchestrate custom ambushes, spawn as world bosses, or trigger one-time server events to keep the community constantly on edge.
While the concept of live dungeon mastering sounds incredible on paper, the true test will be how Take Top Entertainment scales this feature for a massive player base upon launch. There is no official release date yet, but players can already wishlist the title on Steam. For a genre that usually relies on strictly scripted experiences, this dynamic approach could offer a genuinely refreshing social dynamic when it arrives.
