Marvel has released the official trailer for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, revealing the return of Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones and introducing Matthew Lillard as a mysterious new character named Mr. Charles.
Marvel just gave us our best look yet at the upcoming second season of Daredevil: Born Again, and the new trailer packs some major surprises for fans tracking the street level side of the universe. Originally shown to convention crowds at New York Comic Con and CCXP in Brazil, the footage is finally out in the wild for everyone to dissect. The biggest draw for long time viewers is the official return of Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, bringing her signature attitude back to the screen alongside the gritty action we expect from this corner of the franchise.
Alongside the return of familiar faces, the trailer also introduces a major new addition to the cast with Matthew Lillard stepping into the role of a mysterious character known as Mr. Charles. Lillard has enjoyed a massive career resurgence lately, and his inclusion here immediately elevates the intrigue surrounding the plot of the new season. For a community that treats these sprawling narrative universes as ongoing appointment viewing and social event spaces on platforms like Discord and Twitch, casting choices like this instantly spark endless theory crafting and breakdown videos across the creator ecosystem.
While this is television rather than a traditional gaming release, the crossover appeal with our community remains massive. Many of the actors stepping into these gritty roles frequently cross over into gaming voice work, and the tight pacing and cinematic style mirror the narrative adventures we love on our consoles and PCs. As Marvel continues to refine its television strategy after a few uneven years, this trailer suggests season two is leaning hard into what fans loved about the Netflix era while building out a fresh mystery.
