Critically Acclaimed Indie Hit 1000xResist Points to Switch 2 Release in New ESRB Leak

A newly spotted ESRB rating suggests that the critically acclaimed 2024 indie hit 1000xResist is heading to the Nintendo Switch 2, continuing a long tradition of rating boards leaking upcoming ports.
If a fresh ESRB rating is any indication, one of the standout indie titles of 2024 is making its way to Nintendo's next generation hardware. As originally reported by Game Rant, a brand new ESRB listing spotted on Reddit points to a Nintendo Switch 2 version of Sunset Visitor's post-apocalyptic narrative adventure 1000xResist. The listing features an M rating citing blood, strong language, and violence, marking it as a separate entry from the game's previous console and PC classifications.
Originally launched in May 2024 for PC and the original Nintendo Switch, 1000xResist quickly became a critical darling. It secured an elite Top Critic Average of 90 on OpenCritic alongside a flawless recommendation score, placing it comfortably among heavy hitters like Astro Bot and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Following subsequent ports to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in late 2025, expanding onto Nintendo's upcoming platform feels like a natural step for a game that deserves to find every possible player across cross-platform ecosystems.
While rating board leaks have an impressively reliable track record for spoiling hardware announcements, players should still wait for an official word from Sunset Visitor before clearing space on their digital home screens. Age ratings routinely pop up months ahead of formal reveals, much like we saw with recent leaks for major hardware ports. Whenever it officially lands, bringing a narrative heavyweight of this caliber to next-generation portable hardware is a major win for players who prefer to take deep, story-driven experiences on the go.
