Critical Role and Darrington Press are releasing Road to Nowhere, a new Daggerheart adventure designed by Jack Panic that ties into the Age of Umbra: Sallowlands miniseries.
The creative powerhouse behind Critical Role is expanding its tabletop ecosystem once again. According to a report by Wargamer, the team's publishing arm Darrington Press is launching a brand-new adventure for Daggerheart titled Road to Nowhere. Written and designed by indie tabletop creator Jack Panic of DNGN CLUB, the supplement serves as a direct tie-in to the currently airing gothic-horror miniseries, Age of Umbra: Sallowlands.
The new module drops players straight into the bleak badlands of the Halcyon Domain, a once-hopeful region now corrupted by an ethereal mass called Umbra after the abandonment of the gods. Early details tease a distinct aesthetic described as Mad Max meets Star Wars, anchored by Nowhere, a massive convoy-city made of mechanical vehicles called Deadrigs that race across the sands. It is the kind of grim, high-octane setting that plays directly into Panic's background in crafting indie horror supplements.
For players looking to pick up a copy, Darrington Press is planning an exclusive physical release at their booth during Gen Con, running from July 30 to August 2, with the zine priced at five dollars. Fans who prefer digital formats or cannot make the convention will not miss out, as a free PDF version becomes available on the official Darrington Press website starting August 12, according to reporting by Polygon.
