Actor Grace Van Dien has refused to rule out a potential return for Chrissy Cunningham in the final season of Stranger Things, sparking fresh fan theories about a possible zombie appearance.
Grace Van Dien recently addressed rumors surrounding a potential return for her fan favorite character Chrissy Cunningham in the final season of Stranger Things. During a recent discussion, the actor notably did not deny the possibility of a comeback, leaving the door wide open for theories about how the Hawkins cheerleader might reenter the fold. Given the show's dark and supernatural mythology, fans are already speculating on everything from flashback sequences to full-on undead appearances.
For a series that treats its final run as a massive cultural event, keeping casting details under wraps is standard practice, but avoiding a direct denial always gets the community talking. Viewers on platforms like Twitch and TikTok have spent years breaking down every frame of Hawkins lore, and the prospect of a zombie twist fits right into the speculative energy surrounding the Netflix flagship. After all, the community loves a good redemption arc or a shocking twist that upends expected character fates.
As production wraps up and anticipation reaches a fever pitch, these small hints keep the social feeds active while players and watchers wait for a concrete release window. Whether Chrissy actually returns in physical form or simply haunts the periphery of the final season's narrative remains to be seen. You can read the full breakdown over at IGN South Africa.
