Control Resonant launches globally on September 24, shifting focus to Dylan Faden and offering various pre-order bonuses and early access tiers for PC and current-gen consoles.
Remedy Entertainment is expanding its interconnected universe with Control Resonant, shifting the spotlight from Jesse Faden to her brother, Dylan, as players head out to explore a warped version of Manhattan. The game officially launches globally on September 24 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and Windows PC. North American players on the west coast can jump in at 7 a.m. PDT, while east coast players get access at 10 a.m. EDT. European and international fans can check regional schedules, with the UK unlocking the game at 3 p.m. BST and western Europe at 4 p.m. CEST.
For players considering digital pre-orders, Remedy has lined up the usual mix of early incentives and digital goodies. Grabbing the standard edition nets you the Hiss Corruption Outfit and the Pickpocket's Tool Artifact. If you opt for the digital deluxe edition, you also unlock the Occult Outfit, a digital artbook, the original soundtrack, a starter resource bundle, and a 48-hour early access period that kicks off on September 22. Keep in mind that all in-game rewards are locked until you wrap up Act 1.
Critical reception ahead of launch has been a bit mixed, particularly regarding whether Dylan holds his own as a lead compared to Jesse. Polygon reviewer Willa Rowe noted that Dylan feels more like a distant co-worker than the relatable friend Jesse was, leaving the emotional weight of the narrative up for debate. Even so, the chance to dive back into Remedy's surreal world is a major draw for fans following the studio's broader connected universe.
As always, contemporary releases come packed with multiple editions and digital bonuses that require a quick look before buying. Whether you are jumping in early via the deluxe tier or waiting for the standard global drop, planning your download ahead of time ensures you waste zero time stepping back into the bureau's peculiar orbit.
