Epic Games Store users have less than twenty four hours to claim Nobody Wants to Die and The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark completely free of charge before the weekly rotation resets.
PC players scrolling through their libraries on a regular basis know the drill by now. Thursday mornings mean a fresh rotation on the Epic Games Store, which leaves roughly twenty four hours on the clock for anyone who has slept on the current batch of freebies. As originally reported by Game Rant, the window to add both Nobody Wants to Die and The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark to your digital library for zero cost closes today at 10 am CT.
For anyone looking to pad out their weekend backlog without touching their wallet, this particular pairing offers a solid mix of tones. Nobody Wants to Die drops players into a grim, highly stylized version of New York City in the year 2329. It leans heavily into high concept cyberpunk noir, tasking a Mortality Department detective with utilizing advanced tech to untangle conspiracies surrounding the city elite. On the flip side, The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark serves up a lighter, point and click comedic paranormal investigation for anyone wanting a quicker, more whimsical narrative ride.
While digital storefronts love to dangle temporary freebies to drive launcher engagement, treating these weekly drops as routine library maintenance is just part of modern PC gaming. You never know when a rainy weekend or a sudden dry spell in major releases will leave you hunting for something fresh to install. Head over to the Epic Games Store launcher before the timer hits zero to secure your copies.
