Koei Tecmo has released a massive 81GB demo for Nioh 3 on Steam, allowing players to test the opening hours and carry their progress over to the full game launching on February 6.
Koei Tecmo has dropped a massive surprise for action RPG fans, releasing a playable Steam demo for Nioh 3 ahead of its full launch on February 6. As reported by Rock Paper Shotgun, the trial covers the opening stages of the game from the very beginning and includes support for online multiplayer for up to three players. If you manage to grind through the content by February 15, you will unlock an exclusive Twin-Snake Helmet that carries over into the full release.
There is one major catch before you hit the download button, and it involves your storage drives. The demo clocks in at a hefty 81.15GB, meaning it rivals the size of fully realized massive open world titles like Cyberpunk 2077 with its expansion installed. It is a surprisingly large footprint for a slice of a game, so you might need to uninstall a few titles from your library before you can dive in.
The silver lining is that Koei Tecmo has confirmed all progress made during the demo carries over to the full game when it drops next week. For players who love to get a head start on character builds, mastering the combat systems early without losing progress is a massive win. Head over to Steam to grab the files, and start deciding which of your current rotation has to go to make room.
