Capcom has started releasing daily weapon trailers for the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds Ascendance expansion, teasing new Boosted Actions and faster combat mechanics ahead of Tokyo Game Show.
Capcom is quietly rolling out a massive wave of updates for Monster Hunter Wilds, dropping a new video every day leading up to the Tokyo Game Show. According to Eurogamer reporting, these daily trailers are showcasing all 14 weapon types and introducing a brand new mechanic called Boosted Actions for the upcoming Ascendance expansion, which arrives in 2027. The core addition here is the Boost Bracer, a tool that lets players build up energy through aggressive combat and trigger enhanced states for faster combos and heavier hits.
Based on the initial footage for the Great Sword, Hammer, and Charge Blade, this new system is built to accelerate the overall rhythm of hunting. Players can enter the Boosted state through specific moves or combos, unlocking explosive charged slashes, counter attacks, and extended aerial maneuverability. It adds a fresh resource layer to manage mid hunt, pushing the community toward an even more aggressive playstyle that matches the deadly new threats waiting in Master Rank.
This shift toward faster, punchy offense feels like a direct response to how players have engaged with the game since launch. As expectations build for Tokyo Game Show, these daily previews give content creators and theorycrafters plenty of material to dissect while we wait for more details on the 2027 expansion. Monster Hunter Wilds is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version also in development.
