A resourceful Pragmata player spotted an in-game URL on a billboard, purchased the real-world domain, and turned it into a scrolling shrine of Resident Evil memes.
Sometimes the best viral marketing is entirely accidental, and it comes straight from the community. A resourceful player recently discovered an unclaimed URL featured on a billboard in Capcom's sci-fi adventure Pragmata. While exploring the game's digital New York City, sharp-eyed fans spotted a reference to aweskerproduction.com. Realizing the domain was sitting empty in the real world, a Russian player named Alexander Trisvyatsky decided to claim it and transform it into a shrine of classic survival horror humor.
Visitors to the newly minted site are greeted by a scrolling collage of absurd Resident Evil visual gags. The page features legendary antagonist Albert Wesker shedding his iconic sunglasses only to reveal a second pair underneath, alongside surreal side-by-side images of Wesker and Hello Kitty. Other franchise staples make appearances too, including Chris Redfield mid-boulder punch and Leon Kennedy sporting various distorted facial expressions. Speaking to IGN, Trisvyatsky confirmed he built the project in just a few minutes purely for fun, featuring zero ads or requests for donations, and racking up tens of thousands of views almost instantly.
This kind of organic community creativity highlights the playful side of gaming culture, turning a background detail into a viral talking point. Pragmata is already enjoying a strong commercial run, passing one million copies sold just days after launch. Trisvyatsky noted that he has no malicious intent and is fully prepared to hand the domain over to Capcom if the publisher asks. For now, the meme-filled tribute stands as a great reminder of why player-driven internet culture remains one of the best parts of being in the gaming community.
