Capcom is bringing new Mega Man and Roll skins to Pragmata later this year as a lead-up to the newly detailed Mega Man: Dual Override launching in 2027.
Fans of Capcom's iconic blue bomber finally have a reason to celebrate after a nearly decade-long drought. Game Rant reports that a brand-new release is heading our way before the end of 2026, arriving in the form of specially themed Mega Man and Roll skins for the upcoming sci-fi title Pragmata. This playful crossover nods directly to the early community theories that originally linked Pragmata to the Mega Man universe when it was first announced.
Beyond the cosmetic crossover, recent Gamescom showcases gave players a deeper look at Mega Man: Dual Override, which is slated for a full release in 2027. The upcoming platformer introduces fully playable co-op style mechanics with Proto Man joining the roster alongside Mega Man. Both characters feature distinct movement options and combat styles, which tie directly into new progression mechanics like the customizable Custom Chip system and the high-risk, high-reward Override feature for temporary power boosts.
For a community that has been waiting patiently since 2018's Mega Man 11, these new details offer a welcome reassurance that the franchise is returning in a major way. The upcoming Pragmata skins will serve as a fun appetizer for platforming fans, while Dual Override shapes up to modernize the classic formula with fresh mechanics and challenging Robot Masters like Twinkle Girl.
Pragmata's upcoming cosmetic update and the fresh gameplay deep dive for Dual Override show that Capcom is leaning into its legacy while giving modern players meaningful new systems to master. Whether you are jumping in on console, PC, or cloud, the return of classic platforming action is arriving just in time to shake up your 2026 gaming rotation.
