Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is offering an Xbox-exclusive pre-order bonus featuring a translucent green M4 weapon blueprint celebrating the brand's 25th anniversary.
As the October 23 launch date for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 approaches, Infinity Ward and Activision are rolling out early incentives for players securing their copies ahead of time. Following a recent beta period that brought several community-requested adjustments to audio and weapon balance, attention has shifted toward pre-order perks and platform-specific goodies.
According to Game Rant, Xbox Series X and Series S players who digitally pre-order the upcoming shooter will receive an exclusive variant of the Inner Circuit M4 Blueprint. This special cosmetic features a translucent OG green shell reminiscent of classic Xbox hardware, complete with visible internal details and the familiar brand logo stamped on the side. The weapon comes pre-fitted with attachments including the 11.5 inch Shortline Barrel, FTAC Dominion Muzzle, and SZ Prima-4 Dot Optic.
Clarification from official channels confirms that this translucent green aesthetic remains strictly tied to console hardware. PC players grabbing the game through the Xbox app or Game Pass will still receive the standard mil-spec version of the Inner Circuit M4 Blueprint with identical stats, but they miss out on the nostalgic green housing. Additional pre-order bonuses and cross-promotions, including Monster Energy and Fanta collaborations, will offer further weapon blueprints and Double XP tokens for players looking to kit out their loadouts on day one.
Platform-exclusive cosmetic incentives continue to be a staple of modern live-service ecosystems, even if hardware lines can occasionally frustrate cross-platform players. For console loyalists invested in the ecosystem's milestones, though, this nod to early Xbox hardware offers a neat piece of digital flair to bring into matches next month.
