A Microsoft Store listing for a Campaign Early Access Pack suggests that players who pre-order Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 may get to play the single-player story ahead of the game's official global launch.
Infinity Ward recently pulled back the curtain on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, confirming that the upcoming 2026 release will take the long-running subseries to the Korean peninsula for a full-scale invasion narrative featuring the return of Captain Price. Alongside the plot details, the studio is introducing sweeping gameplay updates, including overhauled movement mechanics and the debut of new Apex Attachments. For a franchise that balances massive multiplayer ecosystems with dedicated single-player stories, these technical and narrative adjustments already signal a substantial refresh for the yearly release cycle.
Now, a fresh leak spotted on the Microsoft storefront suggests that players who pre-order the title might get a head start on the single-player experience. A listing for a Campaign Early Access Pack has appeared on the Xbox Store page for the game, pointing toward a pre-launch window where buyers can play through the story before the full package and its multiplayer servers go live. While Infinity Ward has not yet made an official announcement regarding an early access schedule, the strategy aligns with previous franchise rollouts designed to stagger server loads and reward early adopters.
For the broader community, campaign early access has become a familiar pre-order perk, letting players dive into the narrative and avoid major social media spoilers before jumping into the competitive grind. Developers benefit by easing server traffic during launch week while securing early pre-order commitments across platforms. As we get closer to the official launch, players will be watching to see how Infinity Ward handles the rollout and whether this early access window comes attached to specific digital editions of the game.
