Borderlands 4 Sets September Date for Loveless Showcase and Major Content Drop

Gearbox is hosting a dedicated dev stream on September 3 to showcase the new playable Vault Hunter Loveless, ahead of a major content drop on September 10.

As Borderlands 4 approaches its first anniversary, Gearbox is gearing up for a massive September that includes a dedicated deep dive into the next playable Vault Hunter. Fans should mark September 3 on their calendars for the upcoming Gearbox DevCast, which will spotlight Loveless, an ex-Anshin hacker turned assassin who relies on cybernetic gear and a digital virus. Following the character showcase, Gearbox is rolling out a heavy wave of post-launch content on September 10.

The September 10 drop brings both Story Pack 2 and Bounty Pack 5 to the looter shooter. Story Pack 2 brings back fan favorite FL4K as the Beastmaster goes on the offensive against Tediore to rescue their skag companion. Meanwhile, Bounty Pack 5, titled Amara and the Vile Shadows, sends players back to the Moon alongside the Siren Amara to tackle a fortified base, fresh boss encounters, and a new Vault Card packed with challenges and cosmetics.

While the past year has featured some rocky moments for the game, particularly regarding performance issues on PC at launch, Gearbox continues to build out the roadmap with fresh drops. Both upcoming content packs on September 10 will require separate purchases or ownership of the Super Deluxe Edition or Vault Hunter Pack, continuing the standard seasonal monetization model for the franchise. Players eager to see how Loveless shakes up the meta after C4SH will want to tune in for the early September broadcast to check out her kit before the update goes live.
