Borderlands 4 Drops New October Shift Code for Free Golden Keys

Gearbox has released a new Shift code for Borderlands 4 that grants three free Golden Keys, giving players a quick loot boost ahead of its October 6 expiration.
Gearbox is keeping the momentum going for Borderlands 4 with a fresh batch of Golden Keys, arriving just as the looter shooter sees a noticeable bump in player numbers. Shared by Gearbox president Randy Pitchford, the new Shift code gives players three Golden Keys to use on the game's high-tier loot chest. You can redeem the code directly through the in-game Shift menu or on the official website, but you will need to act quickly because it expires on October 6.
This freebie lands at an opportune time for the community. Borderlands 4 recently experienced a surge in activity on Steam, pushing past 20,000 concurrent players following a free weekend, a 50% discount, and the launch of Story Pack 2. That major update introduced Loveless, a cybernetic Vault Hunter wielding a digital virus that takes a physical Wyrm form, alongside a brand-new tropical region called Providence filled with fresh missions and Tediore adversaries.
For anyone diving back into the endgame grind or testing out the new character builds, those three Golden Keys offer an easy way to score some randomized gear scaled to current progression. While limited-time rewards always lean heavily into the usual fear of missing out, a quick code redemption is a painless win for players who want to stock up on firepower without grinding out extra drops.
