Bobby Moynihan joins IGN South Africa to discuss Disney and Pixar's upcoming film Hoppers, which features a sci-fi premise involving consciousness transfer into animals.
Disney and Pixar are leaning hard into high concept sci-fi mechanics with their upcoming feature, Hoppers. The film follows a character named Mabel, played by Piper Curda, who utilizes experimental technology to transfer her consciousness directly into the body of a real animal. In this case, Mabel becomes a beaver, setting up what promises to be a wildly creative spin on the classic body swap formula.
To unpack how this bizarre premise translates to the screen, IGN recently sat down for an exclusive interview with cast member Bobby Moynihan. The discussion offers a fun look at the creative process behind the animated feature, giving fans a better idea of the tone and humor to expect when the movie eventually drops. Moynihan shares insights on bringing the chaotic energy of the story to life through vocal performances.
For anyone tracking the intersection of animation, comedy, and high concept sci-fi world building, this interview is worth a watch. You can check out the full conversation and breakdown over at IGN South Africa to see what else the cast had to say about hopping into the wild side of nature.
