Battlefield 6 Leaks More Explosions Than a Wizard's Potion Experiment Gone Wrong!

A hefty chunk of Battlefield 6 gameplay footage leaked, showcasing impressive destruction physics and pre-alpha gameplay, leaving players cautiously hyped for a potential return to form for the franchise.

Right, so the internet's decided to give us an early Christmas present, and it smells faintly of gunpowder and burnt rubber. Seems nearly 40 minutes of Battlefield 6 (or whatever they're calling it these days) gameplay footage has gone rogue, splattering itself across Reddit and YouTube like a goblin throwing ink. Cheers, Game Rant for being on top of it!

Now, Battlefield 2042 wasn't exactly a love letter to the series, was it? More like a strongly worded postcard. But EA's apparently got a plan to win back hearts and minds (and wallets), and part of that plan involves, well, not repeating the same mistakes. Ambitious, I reckon. They're even aiming for 100 million players! That's... a lot of people to shoot in the face.

Two leaks are doing the rounds, both promising beautiful, beautiful carnage. The first, a mere 39 seconds, is all about the destruction physics. And, fair dinkum, it looks impressive. We're talking tank guns launched skyward by explosions, crushing cars and tearing chunks out of buildings like they're made of papier-mâché. It's the kind of satisfying mayhem that makes you go, "Yep, that's Battlefield." The physics interactions are the star here. It’s not just pretty, it looks *natural*.

The main course, though, is a 37-minute video apparently ripped from a Battlefield Labs test. Ultra settings, RTX 5090 (lucky buggers!), Domination and Conquest modes... it's got the lot. Boots-on-the-ground action, tank gameplay, the whole shebang. And it looks, frankly, rather tasty. Seeing “Pre-Alpha” plastered on the screen is the cherry on top, hinting at even more potential deliciousness to come.

EA’s already confirmed an open beta, which, let's be honest, can't come soon enough. Rumour has it the full release is slated for October 10th. So, soon we can all see for ourselves if EA's actually learned anything from the 2042 kerfuffle. Will Battlefield 6 bring the bang, or will it fizzle out like a damp firework? Only time will tell, mate. But judging from these leaks? I'm cautiously optimistic... which, for me, is practically unrestrained enthusiasm.

Could this be the Battlefield comeback story we've all been secretly hoping for? Or will it be another case of a wizard casting the wrong spell? I reckon we'll find out soon enough. Let the beta testing commence!
