Battlefield 6 Details Season 4 Update With Naval Combat and New Maps

Battlefield 6 has released patch notes for its July 21 update, kicking off Season 4 with the addition of naval combat, a dynamic wave system, the new Tsuru Reef map, new boats, weapons, and a battle pass refresh.

Battlefield 6 is gearing up for its upcoming Season 4 update, bringing major additions to the military shooter on July 21. According to patch notes covered by Game Rant, update 1.4.1.0 officially goes live early Tuesday morning, introducing the long-awaited arrival of naval combat alongside a dynamic wave system. These new mechanics take center stage on the brand-new Tsuru Reef map, a Pacific archipelago designed to blend land, air, and sea warfare into a single arena.

The update also expands the game sandbox with fresh hardware for players to master. Two new watercraft join the vehicle roster, including the two-seat RCB-90 Patrol Boat and the four-seat NSW RHIB transport boat. On the infantry side, players get access to three new firearms, namely the BROD 3 carbine, the EF88 bullpup assault rifle, and the VSSM designated marksman rifle, giving everyone new loadout options to experiment with as the meta shifts.

Alongside the headline features, the patch brings a fresh battle pass refresh, new REDSEC content, and general balancing tweaks to keep matches competitive. For a live service game that has steadily evolved since its launch last October through new modes, maps, and a battle royale integration, Season 4 looks like a substantial mid-lifecycle drop that gives the community plenty of new reasons to squad up.
