Patch 2.5 for Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game introduces a heavily requested Ranked Mode, per-character progression ladders, ragequit penalties, and various character balance adjustments.
Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is getting the feature its community has been demanding since day one. PM Studios and Gameplay Group International have officially rolled out Patch 2.5, introducing a full Ranked Mode alongside a wave of fighter adjustments and system tweaks. For a 2D fighter capturing the fast and frenetic energy of the beloved animated series, competitive matchmaking was the missing puzzle piece for players looking to test their skills online.
The new Ranked Mode uses a per-character ladder system where players earn badges as they climb. Beginners start out in the Rookie tier before moving through Apprentice and Acolyte ranks, while Master ranks span badges four through nine for now, leaving the final tenth badge shrouded in mystery. Sets are structured as a best-of-five format with character locks to keep matches competitive. To protect the integrity of the ladder, developers have also implemented a ragequit penalty system that isolates players who maintain a disconnect rate above twenty percent.
Beyond competitive matchmaking, the update delivers targeted polish to the roster. Characters like Zaheer and Ozai receive updated animations and frame data adjustments, while a long list of bug fixes addresses everything from hitstun scaling to support character behaviors. Coming off the heels of the recent Xbox Series X and S launch and ongoing rollout across platforms, Patch 2.5 proves the development team is listening closely to feedback and actively shaping the game around its player base.
