Assassin's Creed Is Heading to the Stage With Cirque du Soleil Talent and Live Parkour

Ubisoft has announced Heredis: Echoes of the Past, a live theatrical adaptation of Assassin's Creed directed by former Cirque du Soleil talent and featuring high-end parkour and acrobatics.

Ubisoft is taking its flagship franchise out of the digital ecosystem and into the performing arts. Heredis: Echoes of the Past is a newly announced two-hour live theatrical production inspired by the worlds and themes of Assassin's Creed. The show is being built around high-end acrobatics, urban parkour, choreographed stage combat, and large-scale immersive visual environments rather than direct game canon.

The production is being directed by Sébastien Soldevila, best known for his work on Cirque du Soleil and the Sochi Olympic Opening Ceremony. Canadian arts collective The 7 Fingers is handling the physical production, while Dead by Daylight developer Behaviour Interactive is also contributing to the project. The narrative follows a protagonist searching for their father through a fictional in-universe program that serves as a clear stand-in for the classic Animus system.

Performances are currently scheduled to run in Montreal and Paris between December 2026 and February 2027. For players and cross-platform fans who treat gaming franchises as expansive entertainment universes spanning streaming, cinema, and now live theater, it is an ambitious expansion of the brand.
