Assassin's Creed Hexe Will Not Surface Until Late 2027 at the Earliest, Insider Claims

Industry leaks suggest Assassin's Creed Hexe is still far from release, pointing to a late 2027 window following a series of high-profile studio departures at Ubisoft.
Fans waiting for a deeper look at Assassin's Creed Hexe will need to exercise more patience. According to industry insider NateTheHate, speaking in a recent post on X and reported by Eurogamer, the upcoming title will not launch until the second half of 2027 at the earliest. Because the release date remains quite far off, publisher Ubisoft has little incentive to rush out a major reveal or gameplay blowout right now.
This extended timeline follows a turbulent period of leadership changes behind the scenes. Earlier this year, the project saw the departure of game director Benoit Richer, coming just two months after creative director Clint Hocking left the studio. These exits coincided with a broader restructuring at Ubisoft that involved franchise lead Marc-Alexis Coté and the establishment of Vantage Studios, a subsidiary formed alongside Tencent to oversee the publisher's flagship properties.
Despite the silence, Hexe remains one of the most intriguing upcoming projects in the franchise. Billed as a very different type of Assassin's Creed game, it is set to explore European witchcraft during the Middle Ages. While the massive recent success of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is currently carrying momentum for the brand on PC and consoles, players eager for a fresh mainline setting will have to wait quite a bit longer for the witchcraft era to begin.
