Assassin's Creed: Heredis Brings Parkour and Combat to the Live Stage

Ubisoft has announced Assassin's Creed: Heredis, a live stage show featuring parkour and combat that will run in Montreal and Paris starting in December 2026.

Ubisoft is taking its flagship stealth franchise into entirely new territory. Following the success of Black Flag Resynced earlier this year, the publisher has officially announced Assassin's Creed: Heredis, a brand-new live stage production arriving in late 2026. Rather than another interactive release, this project translates the series into a two-hour theatrical experience featuring a cast of 17 performers executing live acrobatics, urban parkour, and choreographed combat within immersive digital environments.

The narrative follows a protagonist named Naƫl who receives a mysterious letter on his 25th birthday, leading him into the HEREDIS program as he tracks down his missing father across multiple historical eras. While the production is designed to welcome newcomers who might not know the franchise lore, it is packed with deeper nods and references for longtime community members. The creative approach leans heavily into the physical stunt work that defined the games from the beginning.

There are a few logistical hurdles for international fans to consider. As reported by Game Rant, the initial run launches in Montreal on December 3, 2026, and wraps on December 20, before moving to Paris for a run spanning January 21 to February 7, 2027. Because of these exclusive locations, the performances will be conducted entirely in French. Even so, it is an interesting pivot for a modern gaming franchise looking to stretch its cultural footprint beyond traditional screens and streaming platforms.

As fans continue waiting for solid updates on upcoming titles like Assassin's Creed Hexe, experiments like Heredis show how far transmedia storytelling has evolved for major gaming IPs. Whether this kind of live-action stunt show can capture the core fantasy of the games remains to be seen, but it certainly offers a fresh communal touchpoint for the fanbase heading into 2027.
