Arc Raiders Update Separates Playstyle Tracking Across Solo, Duo, and Trio Queues

Arc Raiders patch 1.36.0 separates player behavior tracking across Solo, Duo, and Trio queues, letting you mix up your playstyle without cross-mode penalties.

Embark is rolling out a major fix for how Arc Raiders handles player behavior in matchmaking. Patch 1.36.0, which is live now on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, introduces separate playstyle tracking for Solo, Duo, and Trio queues. Previously, the game tracked your overall aggression profile across every mode combined. If you played as a cooperative scavenger in solo runs but adopted a hunt-first mentality with a full squad, the system lumped those competing styles together into a single rating.

This update finally untangles those experiences, allowing you to change your approach depending on who you are playing with. You can now grind out PvE quests and help random players in solo sessions without ruining your aggressive squad matchmaking, and vice versa. It is a welcome adjustment for an extraction shooter where social dynamics shift drastically depending on your team size.

Getting matchmaking right in high stakes PvPvE games is notoriously difficult, especially after Embark had to iron out early issues where defending yourself incorrectly flagged you as the aggressor. By splitting behavior tracking by queue size, the developers are giving players the freedom to be friendly explorers in one match and aggressive hunters in the next without system penalties.
