Arc Raiders Temporarily Turns Down the PvP Heat With New Shared Watch Event

Arc Raiders is running a temporary PvE event called Shared Watch until February 24, encouraging players to team up against enemy robots for rewards while disabling PvP incentives.
Extraction shooters live and die by the constant tension of not knowing whether the next player you cross paths with will share loot or immediately put a round in your back. Embark Studios is looking to shake that dynamic up, even if just for a little while. According to a report by Rock Paper Shotgun, Arc Raiders has launched a new temporary PvE event called Shared Watch, running from today through February 24.
The event introduces an in-world holiday focused entirely on uniting players against the robotic threat. During Shared Watch, players earn merits and exclusive rewards simply by damaging or destroying enemy Arc units. PvP kills will net you zero rewards, effectively disincentivizing griefing while keeping friendly fire enabled. That means the chaotic threat of rogue players is still technically present, creating an interesting social experiment as the community figures out whether to cooperate or test their luck.
Alongside the event, developer Embark is bringing back the chilly Cold Snap map condition and dropping fresh cosmetic sets like Vulpine and Slugger. The update also rolls out necessary quality-of-life fixes, including solutions for pesky disconnect reconnection bugs and random crafting cancellations. It is a neat experiment for a genre usually defined by paranoia, giving the community a brief window to actually work together before dropping everyone back into the cutthroat status quo.
