ARC Raiders Teams Up With Subway for Fast Food Cosmetics and Gear

ARC Raiders has launched a US-only Subway collaboration offering exclusive fast food cosmetics and gear bundles, drawing a mixed response from the community ahead of its major October update.

Embark Studios has announced an unexpected crossover for ARC Raiders, partnering with sandwich chain Subway for a limited time US promotional event. Running from August 20 through October 26, players who buy qualifying items at participating Subway restaurants will receive a code to unlock exclusive in-game cosmetics. The promotion features the distinct Subterranean Outfit, which sports green and yellow accents and a wrapped sub strapped to the character model, alongside a rotating series of weapon and gear bundles.

The collaboration operates on an eight-week schedule where reward bundles cycle weekly across items like the Astrolite, Nascosto, and Rawhide outfits, plus tactical gear and weapons such as the Renegade II and Osprey II. While cross-promotions are common in modern live-service games, community reaction on social channels has been mixed. Some players have voiced frustration over the US-only restriction and questioned the development priorities at Embark, especially while the community waits for the upcoming Frozen Trail update scheduled for October 8.

Live-service communities can be vocal when real-world marketing intersects with game economies, and ARC Raiders is no exception. As players look forward to the game's biggest map update to date later this fall, balancing promotional rollouts with core content updates remains a delicate dance for developers trying to keep cross-platform players engaged across PC and console.
