Arc Raiders Riven Tides Update Brings a New Map, Massive Enemy, and Major Economy Fixes

Arc Raiders is receiving its biggest update yet with Riven Tides, bringing a new Rust Belt map, a flying boss enemy, and major weapon economy rebalances.

Embark Studios is rolling out Riven Tides, the biggest content drop for Arc Raiders since the extraction shooter launched last October. Landing across PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X, the update tackles two of the community's most requested features by introducing a brand new Rust Belt map and a formidable flying enemy known as the Arc Turbine. The new map introduces coastal geography, a resort, and a dockyard, giving squads fresh terrain to scavenge. For players looking for a slower pace, a new minor map condition lets you use the Dockmaster's Detector for coastal loot runs.

Beyond the new theater of war, the update packs plenty of live service incentives to pull lapsed players back into the rotation. There is a new five-stage Avian Alarm raider project, fresh cosmetics, PSSR support for the PlayStation 5 Pro, and a fresh Expedition window running through May 11. Running alongside the update is a limited-time event called Last Resort, which rewards players with Raider Tokens, the Junior Outfit, and the Hydrologist backpack for tracking down ship models.

Crucially, Riven Tides also delivers significant economy and weapon durability adjustments. Embark is addressing the growing imbalance between heavy PvP players and peaceful scavengers by tweaking weapon drop durability, adding a helpful repair on upgrade feature, and reducing durability loss when players get knocked out. These tweaks aim to make high-tier weapon maintenance more forgiving while keeping high-stakes zones dangerous.
