An industry leak points to Lords of the Fallen as the headlining free game for PlayStation Plus subscribers in April 2026.
Sony has not officially revealed the upcoming monthly lineup yet, but a trusted industry insider has reportedly leaked the headlining title for April 2026. According to the leak, CI Games' 2023 dark fantasy RPG Lords of the Fallen will serve as the primary free game for PlayStation 5 players next month. Subscribers across all tiers, including Essential, Extra, and Premium, will be able to claim the title once it drops on the service.
For players who enjoy challenging action role-playing games with cooperative multiplayer, adding Lords of the Fallen to the subscription library offers a solid value proposition. The monthly drop format remains a core part of how players manage their gaming budgets across modern consoles. While waiting for official confirmation from Sony, this early leak gives subscribers plenty of time to clear out their backlog before the title becomes available to claim and keep.
As always, monthly subscription games require an active membership to access, making these drops a key retention tool for platform holders. Leaks of this nature typically precede official announcements by just a few days, so players can expect a full confirmation from Sony shortly. You can read the original reporting over at Game Rant.
