Apple TV has officially released the trailer for the second season of Dark Matter, bringing back its star-studded cast led by Joel Edgerton and Jennifer Connelly. Based on the bestselling novel by Blake Crouch, who returns as showrunner, the hit series continues its mind-bending exploration of alternate realities and the choices that define us. Season one captivated audiences with its tense abduction narrative, following a physicist pulled away from his family and thrust into a multiverse of lives he could have lived.
Season two picks up as the Dessen family attempts to build a stable life in a new reality, only to be uprooted once again by unforeseen threats. As Jason grows deeper into his obsession with the Box, Daniela faces mounting paranoia, and their son Charlie struggles to find normalcy amidst the chaos. Meanwhile, supporting characters like Amanda and Ryan continue their desperate journey home while facing dangerous obstacles from other powerful figures in the multiverse.
The ten-episode sophomore run is scheduled to premiere globally on August 28, rolling out new episodes weekly through October. For fans of high-concept science fiction who enjoy complex storytelling and prestige television, this continuation promises to deliver the same existential thrills that made the debut season a standout hit.
