9UP Games reveals a new playtest trailer for Animal Game during The MIX Summer Game Showcase 2026, offering a fresh look at the multiplayer rogue-lite party brawler.
The upcoming multiplayer rogue-lite party brawler Animal Game just dropped a fresh playtest trailer during The MIX Summer Game Showcase 2026, giving players a closer look at what developer 9UP Games is building. If your game nights need a fresh chaotic entry, this title leans heavily into the kind of chaotic, casual competitive energy that dominates modern streaming platforms and community Discord servers.
Built to blend the unpredictable progression of rogue-lites with the immediate social fun of a party brawler, Animal Game aims to capture that sweet spot where squads can either cooperate or completely ruin friendships in a single match. As digital economies and multiplayer live-service titles continue to evolve, independent developers are finding plenty of room to innovate by focusing purely on high-energy social mechanics.
Players looking to get hands-on experience won't have to wait too long, as the newly announced playtest offers a chance to check out the action early. You can watch the full trailer and read the initial coverage over at IGN South Africa to see all the gameplay details in action before signing up for the playtest.
