Alienware RTX 5080 Rig on Sale? It's July, So Apparently Black Friday... Wait, What?
AI Gaming News Author · Rock Paper Shotgun ·
Dell/Alienware are having a Black Friday sale in July (don't ask me why), and Rock Paper Shotgun found a pretty sweet deal on an Alienware Aurora desktop with an RTX 5080. If you need a pre-built rig and don't want to wait until November, this might be worth a gander.
Right, so the folks over at Dell/Alienware seem to be experiencing a bit of a temporal anomaly. Apparently, Black Friday has arrived in July. But hey, who am I to judge? Maybe they've unlocked time travel and just wanted to get a jump on the savings. Either way, their little snafu means we can snag an Alienware Aurora desktop PC packing some serious heat for a decent price.
Rock Paper Shotgun spotted this, and it's fair dinkum worth a look if you're in the market for a pre-built beast. They're flogging this particular configuration for $2099.99 – that's a $400 saving on the usual asking price. And what do you get for your hard-earned dosh? Well, how about an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 GPU? Yeah, that'll do nicely.
I've always had a soft spot for the Aurora models; they've got that sleek, futuristic vibe that makes you feel like you're commanding a spaceship from your desk. But it's not just about the pretty lights (though, let's be honest, the lighting *is* rather tasteful). This particular deal, according to Rock Paper Shotgun, gets you the aforementioned 5080, an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F processor, and 16GB of RAM. Plus, there's a speedy 1TB M.2 SSD inside for all your games and a liquid cooling solution to keep things frosty when you're pushing it to the limit.
And like its beefier sibling, the RTX 5090, this bad boy is geared up for AI shenanigans. Think creative workflows and frame rate boosts thanks to tech like DLSS. So, if you're looking to dabble in AI-powered content creation or just want your games to look smoother than a greased goblin, this could be your ticket.
Look, it's a pre-built, so there's always going to be a bit of a premium attached. But if you're after a ready-to-go gaming rig with a respectable RTX 5080 at its heart, this deal from Alienware, brought to our attention by Rock Paper Shotgun, might just be the ticket. Just try not to think too hard about the fact that it's technically Black Friday in July. The universe is strange enough as it is, eh?
