If you know Alan Ritchson mostly for his imposing, high-octane work as Jack Reacher, it might be time to check out a much goofier side of his filmography. Polygon reports that his 2019 sports comedy, The Turkey Bowl, is currently available to watch for free on YouTube with ad breaks, requiring no subscription or digital storefront purchase to stream.
Directed at fans of chaotic holiday movies, the film follows a group of adult friends who return home for Thanksgiving to reignite a notoriously competitive annual flag football game. As old rivalries bubble to the surface, the casual backyard matchup quickly spirals out of control into a high-stakes local championship, featuring a supporting cast that includes Matt Jones and Ryan Hansen.
While the movie earned a mixed critical reception upon its initial release, it provides a solid option for anyone looking to unwind between gaming sessions or burn through a couple of hours without opening a new streaming app. Watching Ritchson take a casual holiday sport way too seriously offers a fun, low-pressure alternative to his usual heavy action roles.
