Alan Ritchson and Arnold Schwarzenegger are teaming up for Prime Video's upcoming holiday heist movie, The Man with the Bag, arriving on December 2.
Alan Ritchson is keeping his momentum on Prime Video going strong. Fresh off major renewals for his hit series Reacher, the action star is pivoting to holiday comedy this December. Polygon reports that Ritchson is teaming up with Arnold Schwarzenegger for a brand new Christmas heist movie titled The Man with the Bag, which hits the streaming platform on December 2.
The premise leans hard into classic holiday tropes with an action twist. Schwarzenegger plays Santa Claus, whose iconic gift bag gets stolen by a disgruntled elf voiced by Awkwafina. To save the holidays, Santa recruits a reformed thief from his naughty list, played by Ritchson, to pull off a high stakes recovery mission. It marks Schwarzenegger's first major Christmas movie since the 1996 classic Jingle All the Way.
While hardcore fans might know Ritchson for his brutal, adults-only violence in Reacher, this new feature is rated PG and directed by Adam Shankman. It looks like a fun watch for cross-platform gamers and movie fans looking for some easy weekend viewing between streaming their favorite Twitch creators and grinding out seasonal battle passes.
