Agent 47 Is Hired by Eminem to Take Out Slim Shady in Hitman

Eminem is teaming up with Agent 47 in the latest Hitman World of Assassination Elusive Target mission, hiring the master assassin to take down his chaotic alter ego Slim Shady throughout a surreal asylum map this December.

IO Interactive is taking celebrity cameos in Hitman World of Assassination to a surreal new level. During the November Xbox Partner Preview, developer IO Interactive revealed that the next Elusive Target mission features hip hop icon Eminem hiring master assassin Agent 47 to eliminate his own chaotic alter ego, Slim Shady. According to details shared on Xbox Wire, the plot centers on the real Eminem enlisting 47 because his younger, violent creation has spun out of control and threatens to come after him. It is a brilliant play on the concept album themes from The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), and yes, the trailer hints that poisoning mom's spaghetti is a viable tactical approach.

The target will be roaming a heavily reconfigured version of the Hokkaido medical facility, which transforms into the chaotic Popsomp Hills Asylum for the event. Players will track Slim Shady through a converted operating theater acting as a live broadcasting studio, a recording space, and a bizarre group training session where staff are brainwashed into weaponizing music. This high profile showdown continues the Hitman tradition of limited time celebrity targets, following previous appearances by famous names like Sean Bean, Gary Busey, Jean Claude Van Damme, and Conor McGregor.

For players looking to jump in, the mission drops on December 1 and runs through December 31 across all platforms where Hitman World of Assassination is currently available, including PC, consoles, and cloud friendly devices. As reported by Polygon, this holiday window gives the community a full month to plan the ultimate stealth takedown. It is a fun crossover that leans hard into pop culture history while delivering the classic, highly replayable assassination sandbox mechanics fans expect.
