The Epic Games Store is offering the narrative deckbuilder Foretales for free until July 30, giving PC players a chance to grab the story-rich card game at no cost.
The Epic Games Store is keeping its weekly freebie tradition alive with a brand new addition to your digital library. PC players can currently claim the story driven deckbuilder Foretales at zero cost, adding another narrative adventure to their rotation without spending a dime. Originally highlighted in a report by Polygon, the promotion runs for a limited time, giving players until July 30 at 11 a.m. EDT to secure the title for their account.
Developed as a unique take on turn based card combat, Foretales drops players into a cursed world where the fate of the realm rests entirely on their strategic choices. The game features striking art direction alongside a branching storyline that leads to multiple different endings, giving it plenty of replay value. For those who tune into streams or follow voice acting talent closely, the experience comes with an extra recognizable draw through narration by Critical Role regular Travis Willingham.
While card battlers and deckbuilders have become a staple of the indie scene, Foretales holds a respectable 75 on OpenCritic alongside a very positive reception from players on Steam. For a platform agnostic community always looking to pad out their backlog with quality single player experiences, grabbing it during this limited window is an easy win. Head over to the Epic Games Store launcher before the deadline next week to add it to your library permanently.
