500 Finger Fillet is an upcoming PC horror roguelite where players must time 500 hand stabs to escape a deadly trap, combining the tension of the classic knife game with Buckshot Roulette vibes.
The classic desktop knife game has always been a great way to test adrenaline without actually visiting an emergency room. Fortunately, video games exist to let us take those kinds of grim risks safely from our monitors. Developer DEADBODY Games has announced 500 Finger Fillet, an upcoming horror roguelite for PC that translates the sweaty palms of the fast paced knife game into a high stakes puzzle of timing and survival.
As reported by Rock Paper Shotgun, the setup puts players strapped to a table with a wrist counter while a mechanical contraption holds a blade above their splayed fingers. The objective is deceptively simple and entirely terrifying. Players must time their stabs correctly to hit the gaps between their fingers 500 times without losing any digits. A looming, anthropomorphic bear acts as your sadistic warden, setting strict time limits and adding pressure to an already tense loop.
Survival rewards players with bones that can be spent on items and rings to improve their odds, while different tool choices like switchblades, kitchen knives, or ritual daggers alter your baseline risks. It shares plenty of DNA with underground viral hits like Buckshot Roulette, leaning heavily into atmospheric dread and uncomfortable stakes. While there is no playable demo just yet, you can already wishlist the game on Steam ahead of its planned release later this year.
