Io Interactive has announced the Year One content roadmap for 007 First Light, featuring a pirate DLC starring Lenny Kravitz, New Game Plus, and regular TacSim updates.
Io Interactive has detailed its post launch plans for 007 First Light, and the spy thriller is taking a detour into high seas territory. According to a report by Rock Paper Shotgun, the game's first year of updates will introduce a major piece of downloadable content starring musician and actor Lenny Kravitz as the pirate king Bawma. Players will head to the pirate haven of Aleph to assist Bawma with a mysterious new assignment, expanding the globe trotting scope of MI6's latest digital outing.
Alongside the pirate themed narrative expansion, the developers are rolling out a packed schedule of updates for the game's Tactical Simulation Mode. Throughout the year, players can expect fresh challenges across iconic locations, including off road deathracing in Aleph, a return to The Pearl in Vietnam to fend off a new enemy faction, and high tech incursions at Webb Industries. These drops will introduce new gadget upgrades, weapons, leaderboards, and vehicle additions to keep the community engaged long after the credits roll.
For those looking to replay the campaign, IO Interactive is officially adding a New Game Plus mode. Building on the Hitman style foundation that earned the game praise upon release, these updates give players plenty of reasons to dive back into the action.
